Congratulations to Andy Bedwell & Stephen Haycock on passing their BSAC Dive Leader qualification earlier in October! 🙂

Andy & Steve have been working on their Dive Leader qualification, completing the open water elements of the course at NDAC under the instruction of Dean Hall, Training Officer. They then completed a weekend of Dive Management under the watchful eye of Paul Worsley, Dive Officer. The last hurdle was a nerve wracking exam, which both passed and then completed their depth progression to 50 metres on October 16th.

Having already completed the Instructor Foundation Course, both Andy and Steve can now assist with training other club members, and are both planning on completing the Open Water Instructors Course early next year.

Well done to both.

Congratulations to Antonia Field on completing & passing her BSAC Ocean Diver qualification.

Antonia completed the final part of her OD course, her dive lead on a very wet, windy and miserable Saturday at NDAC Chepstow.

Steve Haycock, under the supervision of Dean Hall, conducted the demonstration dive lead, then budded with Antonia and reviewed her dive lead. This was her first time diving in a quarry, as she had completed the rest of her Ocean Diver open water dives and exercises down at Weymouth under the instruction of Paul Worsley, the club Diving Officer. Well done Antonia.

July 2015

Congratulations to Steve Mulroy on completing and passing his Sports Diver qualification. He completed the course in style with a final arduous push at NDAC Chepstow on July 25th under the instruction of Dean Hall. Steve completed all his open water lifts, tows and dive lead plus a final dive of the day to get his 25m depth progression and to have a bit of fun following a 5am start.
